Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We want every twirler and every parent to be able to use this site — to browse courses, buy gear, book a lesson, and watch a video — regardless of ability or the technology they use.

Standard we aim for

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the standard commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We review the site against these guidelines and fix issues as we find them.

What we've done

• Keyboard access to navigation, menus, forms, and checkout, with a visible focus indicator.
• A skip-to-content link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation.
• Semantic headings, landmarks, and labelled form fields.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
• Colour combinations chosen to meet AA contrast, with information never conveyed by colour alone.
• Layouts that reflow on small screens and support browser zoom without loss of content.
• Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets.

Known limitations

We're honest about the gaps we're still working on:

• Some older course and lesson videos do not yet have captions or transcripts. We are adding them, and we will provide a transcript on request for any video in the meantime.
• Embedded third-party components — the payment checkout, video player, and video conferencing for private lessons — are controlled by those vendors, and their accessibility is not entirely in our hands.
• Some older blog images may have brief alt text that we are improving.

Need something in a different format?

If a video, download, or worksheet isn't accessible to you, ask us. We will send you a transcript, a plain-text version, or walk you through it one-to-one at no charge.

Tell us about a barrier

Email SaraRudin@BatonTwirling101.com with the subject line "Accessibility" and tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use. We aim to acknowledge within 3 business days and to resolve or give you a workaround within 10 business days.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division regarding ADA compliance. We would rather hear from you first so we can fix it.
